Two key projects launched to implement the European Open Science Cloud

EOSC-hub and OpenAIRE-Advance projects, started in January 2018 and running for three years, will be instrumental to make the European Open Science Cloud a reality. They will provide 1.7 million researchers in Europe with a wide variety of services and resources to fully exploit the potential of data and multidisciplinary research.

EOSC-Hub will mobilise the major European digital and thematic research infrastructures, comprising more than 300 data centres worldwide and 18 pan-European infrastructures, and ultimately serve a large number of the 1,7 million European researchers and 70 million professionals in science and technology.
To complement the resources and services offered by the EOSC-Hub, DG CNECT also funded the the OpenAIRE-Advance project. It gathers more than 50 partners and aims at building and consolidating a socio-technical network and infrastructure supporting open scholarly communication.
