Trans-Atlantic Symposium on ICT Technology and Policy
The “Trans-Atlantic Symposium on ICT Technology and Policy – 5G Networks, Big Data, Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems for a Smart Society” will be held in Minneapolis, June 19-20, 2017. The event is organized by the PICASSO project and hosted by the Technological Leadership Institute, University of Minnesota. Symposium sponsors include the U.S. National Science Foundation, the European Commission, IEEE Control Systems Society, and Intelligent Manufacturing Systems.
The event will comprise a combination of keynote lectures and plenary and parallel sessions, animated by a wide range of high-level technical and policy experts from the EU and US. The speakers and panelists include leaders from industry, academia, government agencies (including NSF, NIST, and the European Commission) and leading national and international private-public initiatives. By participating in the symposium you can expect to gain insight into the latest developments and trends in key information and communication technologies (ICT), as well as customer needs in smart-society sectors, ICT policy issues, and EU-US collaboration and funding opportunities.
