Task Force 7 - Subgroup 2: Telecom
The TF7.Telecom subgroup is meant to get in contact with other European initiatives relevant for this sector and taskforces in BDVA and boost collaboration. It its activities it investigates privacy preserving mechanisms to make privacy sensitive data available and collaborates with TF6.SG4.
Telecommunication infrastructure and specifically 5G applied in various industrial sectors plays an important role to keep/gain European leadership in different industrial areas (e.g. industrial automation, healthcare, self-driving cars, …), but also in different technological areas (e.g. edge/fog computing, ultra-reliable low latency communications, massive machine communications, …).
Telecommunication infrastructure as connector between various industrial sectors (e.g. 5G, Industry 4.0, self-driving vehicles), thus enabling usage of data across industrial sectors.
The huge amount of data that will be available by usage of telecommunication infrastructure in different industrial sectors.
