BDVA Task Forces

Smart Manufacturing Industry

B2B Smart Industry

Focus and activities

This Task Force focuses on B2B and Smart Industry

The Task Force Smart Manufacturing Industry has a specific focus mainly in the B2B area, which is distinguished in different areas:

  • Smart Factory: applications for better information within a company;
  • Smart Supply Chain: applications between suppliers and producers/manufacturers in a chain (e.g., e-PLM);
  • Smart Product Lifecycle: applications giving data about the use of a product or service.

The TF’s goal is thus to create an exchange of views, so that BDVA members can better understand what activities are running in EU and within the different countries and can learn from the experience of each other. This early exchange will lead to innovations that are better tailored to real needs. Additionally, by identifying and comparing initiatives and results in the various member states, the BDVA can formulate overall insights on the state of the art in Smart Industry, thereby identify the future challenges to be addressed and provide input for policy-making in the EU.
