Collectively, we enhance competitiveness and foster innovation. We are committed to supporting our partners and collaborators with unwavering professionalism and dedication, as we strive to reach our objectives of fostering an innovation ecosystem that facilitates the data-driven digital evolution of Europe’s economy and society.

AI, Data and Robotics Partnership

The AI, Data and Robotics Partnership is one of the European Partnerships in digital, industry and space in Horizon Europe. To deliver the greatest benefit to Europe from AI, Data and Robotics, this Partnership will drive innovation, acceptance and uptake of these technologies. The Partnership will boost new markets, applications and attract investment, to create technical, economic and societal value for business, citizens and the environment. By 2030, European sovereignty is expected in the development and deployment of trustworthy, safe and robust AI, Data and Robotics, compatible with EU values and regulations.

The Data Spaces Business Alliance

The Data Spaces Business Alliance (DSBA) accelerates business transformation in the data economy. It’s the first initiative of its kind, uniting industry players to realise a data-driven future in which organisations and individuals can unlock the full value of their data.

Data spaces are key to achieving sovereign, interoperable and trustworthy data-sharing across businesses and societies – a key step to the data economy of the future. The Alliance embraces this reality, converging the best skills, assets and experience in Europe into a one-stop-shop for data spaces, from inception to deployment.

The Data Spaces Business Alliance are Gaia-X European Association for Data and Cloud AISBL, the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), FIWARE Foundation and the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA). Together they represent 1,000+ leading key industry players, associations, research organisations, innovators and policymakers worldwide. With this cross-industry expertise, resources and know-how, the Alliance drives awareness, evangelises technology, shapes standards and enables integration across industries.

Big Data Value cPPP

The Big Data Value contractual Public-Private Partnership (BDV cPPP) aimed at creating a functional Data Market and Data Economy in Europe, to allow Europe to play a leading role in Big Data in the global market. The Big Data Value cPPP was a partnership between the European Commission and the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) part of the Horizon 2020. The contractual arrangement on the cPPP was signed on 13 October 2014. Find information about the Governance of the BDV cPPP here. The BDV cPPP has developed an interoperable data-driven ecosystem as a source for new businesses and innovations using Big Data. To achieve this the BDV SRIA defined four implementation mechanisms: i-Spaces, Lighthouse projects, technical priorities and coordination and coordination projects.

The BDV cPPP officially ended at the end of 2020.

The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) is a legal and funding entity, created in 2018 and located in Luxembourg to lead the way in European supercomputing.

The EuroHPC JU allows the European Union and the EuroHPC JU participating countries to coordinate their efforts and pool their resources to make Europe a world leader in supercomputing. This boosts Europe’s scientific excellence and industrial strength, support the digital transformation of its economy while ensuring its technological sovereignty.

TCI - The TransContinuum Initiative

To pursue and extend the collaborative work started around HPC in the Digital Continuum, ETP4HPC is coordinating the TransContinuum Initiative (TCI).

The TransContinuum is the unison of related digital technologies which offers solutions for the operation of complex data workflow systems. In this continuum, HPC plays a central role as the engine propelling AI, Big Data, IoT, Cybersecurity and Mathematical components to work together.
