The European Commission announced today an investment of €1.98 billion to advance the digital transition and meet the goals set for the Europe’s Digital Decade. The funding comes in three work programmes through Digital Europe Programme (DEP).

The 46^th Activity Group meeting (AG46) was organized from 27^th to 29^th of October. In addition to the open pitching session for our members, the three-day meeting included road mapping activities, workshops and presentations delivered by the European Commission.

We are excited to announce that the registration for the European Big Data Value Forum 2021 is now open for the virtual event. Taking place November 29 – December 3, the week will be full of insightful sessions and opportunities to connect with European Big Data Value and Industrial AI research and innovation community.

From a total of 25 applicants, BDVA/DAIRO granted the quality label to 17 organisations and 7 hubs renewed their labels. The labelled hubs will be introduced into the community in the i-Spaces ceremony at the European Big Data Value Forum 2021 on November 30. 

Gaia-X European Association for Data and Cloud AISBL, the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), FIWARE Foundation, and the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA) join forces to drive the adoption of data spaces across Europe and beyond. The new collaboration, called Data Spaces Business Alliance (DSBA), is the first initiative of its kind.

The survey contributes to the building of a European standardization strategy and roadmap. It aims at collecting European stakeholders needs on Artificial Intelligence standardization. It is based upon the National Survey organized by AFNOR under the framework of the French Grand Défi Trustworthy and Industrial AI. “The Elements of Big Data Value” describes the massive impact big data has and will have to our society and economy, providing practical tools to develop an increased capacity to drive the digital transformation on all sectors. It gives an exciting look into the discoveries of the Public Private Partnership on Big Data Value.

The "Path to Digital Decade" sets up a governance framework based on an annual cooperation mechanism with the Member States. It aims to address the areas of digital skills, digital infrastructures, digitalisation of businesses and public services.
