Strengthening BDVA's office to support our European ecosystem
BDVA's Secretariat welcomes two new joiners: Sinna Rissanen, who joined in May as Secretariat Officer and Martina Barbero, who started in June as Operations Manager.
Sinna is responsible for membership and financial administration and she supports communication activities and organisation of meetings and events. She also assists the Secretary General with all other administrative matters. Before joining the BDVA team, Sinna worked nearly 12 years at the Permanent Representation of Finland to the EU and the high moment during those years was the Finnish EU Presidency 2019 project, for which she contributed as the Presidency Coordinator. Earlier in her life, Sinna worked in private sector for two years with import&export and accountancy related questions and in art museum for three years. Sinna speaks English, French, Russian, Swedish and Finnish (mother tongue) and she has also studied Slovenian, Spanish and Dutch.
Martina focuses on supporting the work of BVDA's Task Forces and the Public Private Partnership activities, takes care of communication strategies and contributes to the association's projects. Prior to joining BDVA Martina worked for five years as Senior Consultant for Deloitte EU services. During her years at Deloitte, Martina developed a data economy expertise by being involved in several projects concerning EU data policies and notably the review of the Public Sector Information (Open Data Directive) and the Study on Emerging Barriers to Data Sharing. Martina studied European Affairs in Italy and in Belgium (Brussels and Bruges) and she speaks Italian (mother tongue), English and French.
Sinna and Martina come to strengthen BDVA's office, increase the support provided to BDVA's members and reinforce the association's role and impact within the EU ecosystem.
