CEN-CENELEC Stakeholder Workshop - Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence – building a framework with standardization
On September 18th 2018, CEN-CENELEC organised a one-day workshop to pinpoint how standardization will support the take-up of AI technologies. The discussion focused on how trustworthiness in AI can be built for both Consumers and Industry and how standards can help.
BDVA had an active participation in this workshop. The BDVA Board member and official BDVA representative in the HLEG on AI, Nozha Boujemaa, gave one of the opening keynote speeches called "Towards Trusted AI. Responsible and Safe" where she identified a long list of challenges to tackle from the technical and non-technical prespective with a final call to interdisciplinary collaboration. The panel discussion on "dimensions of Trustworthy AI" counted with the presence of BDVA Vice-President Thomas Hahn (Chief Software Expert at Siemens AG) and representation from Intel.
BDVA and CEN-CENELEC continue strenghening collaboration. As part of the European Big Data Value Forum 2018 a session on AI Standards is being organised with the presence among of others of the CENELEC president Bernhard Thies.
