On the 22nd and 23rd of April, BDVA/DAIRO organises its Activity Group (AG44) meeting. Our popular workshop series brings together BDVA/DAIRO members, Big Data Value portfolio projects and other relevant initiatives on data and Industrial AI. The two-day event focuses especially on data space reference architecture, standardisation and interoperability and Trustworthiness of Industrial AI.

The European Commission has announced a new call for projects to foster better data access, sharing and analysis for the research of new virus variants. It aims to speed up the countermeasures for coronavirus and increase readiness for future epidemics.

On the 23rd of March BDVA/DAIRO hosted a workshop on HPC, Big Data, IoT, and AI future industry-driven collaborative topics as a part of EuroHPC Summit week. During the workshop, Horizon 2020 ICT11 projects analysed research and innovation challenges SME's face with these technologies in terms of convergence and alignment.
Today General Assembly (GA23) officially welcomed 11 new members to BDVA/DAIRO. BayFOR, Optiva Media, FAU and POLIMI joined the association as full members.

Over 100 participants, 20 projects and other key stakeholders joined discussions at the 43rd Activity Group meeting organised by BDVA/DAIRO 18th and 19th of March. Seven different sessions were organised around the topics of multi-sided aspects of Data Platforms, assets to develop Data Spaces, Trustworthiness of Industrial AI and Standards/Interoperability allowing participants to pitch, network and collaborate.
