On Thursday 9th of June, the BDVA/DAIRO General Assembly (GA26) held in Naples accepted 4 full members and 3 associate members to join the association. The newly joined organisations represent start-ups, SMEs, academia and research organisations, strengthening the community with a wide and diverse variety of expertise. They come from Austria, Bulgaria, Sweden,  Turkey, Israel and Spain. BDVA warmly welcomes the new members and is looking forward to all new opportunities and collaborations working together creates!

The new BDVA full members are:



Appcent is a mobile application/design/backend development, support and education SME. In 10 years, it has become one of Turkey’s leading technology companies, mainly focusing on m-commerce, insurance, banking, and fintech projects and serving leading Fortune500 companies globally. Appcent carries out AI, DRL, NLP studies and ML applications and organizes training and young talent programs to transfer sectoral experience to the ecosystem.

Bright Data Ltd.

Bright Data is an industry-leading web data platform. Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions, and small businesses rely on Bright Data’s solutions to retrieve public web data for research, monitoring, systems training and data analysis to run better strategies and informed decision-making. The company has developed Bright Initiative, supporting the usage of data to drive positive change with over 500 non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and public bodies. Through the initiative, Bright Data also works with the UK government, supporting the country’s Data Strategy rollout and addressing issues around ethics and governance of data and AI with the UK parliament. 

CTIC Technology Centre

CTIC is a private non-profit Research and Technology Organization, specializing in the research and development of cutting-edge ICT, AI and Big Data; Interoperability and Open Data; Web of Things (WoT); Immersive Technologies; Cybersecurity, Blockchain and Quantum Computing; and Human Factor. CTIC AI R&D activities focus on the data value chain and the organisation supports companies in data-driven digital transformation. CTIC holds the W3C Office for Spanish speaking countries and is an active member in several W3C working groups. CTIC is a partner of two excellence networks of Spanish Technologies Centers (RTOs) and a member of the GAIA-X Spanish hub.


KTH Royal Institute of Technology

KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm has grown to become one of Europe’s leading technical and engineering universities, as well as a key centre of talent and innovation. Being Sweden’s largest technical research and learning institution, KTH hosts numerous researchers working with Big Data in application areas such as health, life science, transport, telecommunications, energy, smart houses, smart cities, eScience, geo observation etc. The university also hosts numerous researches developing data science methods. Relevant centres and major activities are WASP AI, WASP DLDS, Digital Futures centre, SciLifeLab and SERC.

Established in 1998, at present the SME is recognized as a trusted and preferred IT partner of many State Institutions, public organizations and private companies. Given the fact that CNsys PLC is a leading system integrator in the Bulgarian market, they intend to expand their knowledge and skills in Big Data.

Luleå University of Technology

The Luleå University of Technology has many years of experience in applied artificial intelligence. The knowledge available at the university has benefits business, civil society, the public sector and organizations through close collaborations. The Luleå University of Technology’s ecosystem of AI-related research links directly to real-world applications in companies and industries.  This way their research contributes to safe and measurable AI innovations that make a difference in everyday life, developing a competitive and sustainable society.
