BDVA Secretary General Ana García Robles shared the outcomes of the 20 months of great collaboration between the Data Spaces Support Centre and Green Deal Data Space (GREAT Project) during the project’s closing event on 23 April, at the Press Club Brussels Europe.

The GREAT project, funded by the Digital Europe program, aimed at establishing the Green Deal Data Space Foundation and its Community of Practice which built on both the European Green Deal and the EU’s Strategy for Data. The project will deliver a roadmap for implementing and deploying the Green Deal Data Space, an infrastructure that will allow data providers and initiatives to openly share their data to tackle climate change in a multidisciplinary manner.

GREAT strongly collaborated with the Data Space Support Centre and all other sectoral Data Spaces to ensure alignment and convergence of initiatives towards the Common European Data space.

The closing event marked the conclusion of this journey of the consortium and the Community of Practice with the Green Deal Data Space Preparatory Action. You are invited to express your interest in the deployment here.

Milestones, key findings and collaborative achievements of the consortium and the Community of Practice were shared with the public, as many joined – both in person and online. You can take a look at the live stream here.

BDVA is proud and honoured to have been part of this GREAT journey and we look forward to the road ahead!
