The two days event will focus on the call for proposals H2020-ICT-2016-2017 addressing the following topics:

ICT-14: Big Data PPP: Cross-sectorial and cross-lingual data integration and experimentation
ICT-15: Big Data PPP: Large Scale Pilot actions in sectors best benefitting from data-driven innovation
ICT-17: Big data PPP: Support, industrial skills, benchmarking and evaluation
ICT-18: Big data PPP: Privacy-preserving big data technologies

Workshop on Exploring the Positive and Negative Impacts of Big Data Across Sectors

The BYTE project is exploring scientific and industrial organizations in Europe to gain a greater understanding of the positive and negative externalities associated with Big Data. This month the BYTE project will host a worksop on “Exploring the Positive and Negative Impacts of Big Data Across Sectors”. In this workshop the results of this research will be presented including:

- A series of case studies and focus groups on Big Data in various sectors such Smart cities (Siemens) and Energy (Statoil).

Information and Networking Day on H2020 ICT-15 Big Data PPP Lighthouse Projects

A special Information and Networking Day dedicated to H2020's ICT-15 'Big Data PPP: Large Scale Pilot actions in sectors best benefitting from data-driven innovation' (also known as Lighthouse Projects) will be organised by DG Connect - Data Value Chain Unit, on 1st December 2015 in Albert Borschette Congress Center in Brussels.

IIM 2015 Conference Image Information Mining : Earth Observation meets Multimedia

The Tenth Conference on Image Information Mining will be held at the Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania from 28 to 30 October 2015. Earth Observation, geosciences, multimedia location awareness, tagging, spatial context analysis and related fields share similar challenges to search, discover and understand the content of huge open access spatial data sets.
