Event date:
Monday, 11 March, 2019
Place:
Brussels, Belgium

On 11 March 2019 in Brussels, EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) is organising an open information day. The purpose of the event is to present the upcoming supercomputer acquisitions planned by the EuroHPC JU to interested stakeholders.

The event is targeting all HPC stakeholders including:

  • HPC Hardware and software vendors
  • Supercomputing centres in the Union
  • HPC users from any application domain, from academia, industry or SMEs.

At the event the EuroHPC JU will present the plans to acquire precursors to exascale and petascale systems, including the timing and the selection process, as well as the HPC infrastructure roadmap until 2020.

Participants will have the opportunity to make short presentations (5’-10’) on the state-of-the-art of HPC technologies, on individual supercomputer acquisition roadmaps or on technology roadmaps.

The event will conclude with discussions on best practices and the future of supercomputing in Europe and worldwide.

The event is organised in Thon Hotel EU (Wetstraat/Rue de la loi 75, 1040 Brussels). Due to limited availability of seats registration prior to the event is mandatory. There is a limit of two registrations per organisation to ensure balanced representation of all interested stakeholders.
