The fast progression of data, digital spaces and the adoption of AI technologies are set to initiate substantial changes in both our businesses and our daily lives. Technological advancements prove their impact over the longer period of time. New business prospects will be ushered in by the upcoming technologies, presenting novel digital product features and advanced services. Collaboration stands as the fundamental pillar of achieving success and the sharing of knowledge plays a crucial role in nurturing industries, sparking world-class research and enhancing competitiveness. These objectives are integral to the mission of the BDVA. In this critical juncture in history, it becomes imperative to respond to the swiftly evolving technological landscape by bringing together stakeholders to establish regulatory and technological frameworks that are in line with European values and serve the interests of all.
BDVA has rapidly become Europe’s go-to place for the future of data and AI, evolving into a central hub for collaboration between industry, academia and policy making. With a focus on technology’s positive impact on business, policy making and society and its tangible outcomes, we must all keep pace with AI and data’s dynamic changes.
The European Big Data Value Forum serves as the nexus where experts hailing from research, industry, associations and government converge to deliberate on these changes and shape the future of data, data spaces and AI by taking part in relevant sessions and workshops.
Over 200 top speakers presented the latest developments in their field during over 50 sessions. Carme Artigas, the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence of the Spanish Government was one of EBDVF’s keynote speakers, as well as Roberto Viola – Director General of European Commission’s DG Connect, Siemens’ Chief Expert Software Thomas Hahn, Alberto Palomo – Chief Data Officer for the Government of Spain and José Bernabeu, Scientific Director of ITI, alongside other officials from the European Commission and elite representatives of the data and AI companies in Europe.

EBDVF’s Organising Committee approached the programme with a broad perspective, considering the impact on various European economic sectors and not overlooking the societal implications of rapidly advancing technologies.
