BDVA/DAIRO workshop at EuroHPC Summit gave insight to research and innovation challenges of SME's
On the 23rd of March BDVA/DAIRO hosted a workshop on HPC, Big Data, IoT, and AI future industry-driven collaborative topics as a part of EuroHPC Summit week. During the workshop, Horizon 2020 HPC and Big Data enabled Large-scale Test-beds and Applications (ICT11) projects analysed research and innovation challenges SME's face with these technologies in terms of convergence and alignment. The event had 70 participants and was chaired by María Pérez (UPM).
Building on the previous two workshops organised in May and June of 2020, DeepHealth, CYBELE, LEXIS, Evolve, IoTwins, and Infinitech projects held short sessions introducing challenges and solutions based on their progress. During the event, the participants used a collaboration tool for further analysing the needs previously extracted by BDVA/DAIRO. A larger group of projects provided input and identified challenges on topics of data, workflows, HPC/cloud infrastructures and AI/machine learning training.
The collaborative board will be kept open for further contributions. BDVA/DAIRO will announce the follow-up steps on this website. If you are interested in adding your experience, please do not hesitate to contact operations@core.bdva.eu.
