BDVA at Digital Around the World
The Digital Around the World conference is a 24h hour non-stop event aiming at presenting and discussing the last technological innovations and trends shaping digital transformation worldwide.
It kick-started on the 20th of October with an opening panel on the use of Technology for A Better World. BDVA President, Thomas Hahn - Siemens, was invited to participate in the opening panel and give a presentation on the new Partnership on AI, Data and Robotics and the role that this initiative could play in bring together forces for addressing societal challenges. Mr. Hahn reiterated the importance of collaborating across borders and disciplines and highlighted that further investments are needed to ensure technology take up in Europe.
BDVA President also participated in the session on Artificial Intelligence as enabler for competitiveness together with other keynote speakers such as Cecile Huet, Deputy Head of Unit at the European Commission in the AI and Robotics Unit of DG CNECT and Barry O'Sullivan, Chair of Constraint Programming, Department of Computer Science, University College Cork and former deputy president of EurAI. This session is organised and chaired by BDVA Director, Nuria de Lama, from Atos.
