From augmented reality dinosaurs to deep fake CCTV: MediaFutures starts its 2nd cohort with 24 projects using data to tackle misinformation challenges

The MediaFutures project has started its 2nd cohort joining the startup and artist support programme on 5 April with a welcome meeting for the 24 projects of the 2nd cohort. The projects were selected out of 137 proposals from 39 countries submitted during the 2nd Open Call.

The MediaFutures programme has three categories: ‘Artists for Media’, an artist residency, ‘Startups for Citizens’, a startup accelerator, and ‘Startup meets Artist’, an unique programme that supports artists and startups to work together on one project. In the cohort, the artists and startups present surprising, thought provoking and innovative approaches to the media and technology.
