Breakfast Debate 'Towards a European Partnership in AI, Data and Robotics'

BDVA and euRobotics organise in collaboration with K4I a breakfast debate at the European Parliament on December 4th. The event is meant to connect different actors from the European Parliament, the European Commission, industry, research, start-ups and end users, and to make them aware of the opportunities that especially the combination of data, robotics, and AI technology offers to the digital transformation of industry and society.

Data Protection in the era of Artificial Intelligence

BDVA TF6.SG4 in collaboration with the BDVe project has released a position paper called "Data Protection in the era of Artificial Intelligence: Trends existing solutions and recommendations for privacy-preserving technologies". 

The paper summarises recent trends in the development of tools and technologies that facilitate secure and trustworthy data analytics and it provides recommendations based on the insights and outcomes of the projects of the BDV cPPP and from the task forces of BDVA, combined with insights from recent debates and the literature. Access the paper here.

 

BDVA and euRobotics publish the second consultation release of the SRIDA for a European AI PPP

BDVA, the Big Data Value Association and euRobotics, the European Robotics Association, publish today, September 18th 2019, an updated version of the Strategic Research, Innovation and Deployment Agenda (SRIDA) for a European AI, Data and Robotics PPP. 

The second consultation release incorporates a new chapter focused on collaborations with multiple stakeholders and in particular on the so called Horizontal Collaborations. It also incorporates important aspects of the collaboration with the AI Research Communities, EU funded projects and initiativesand EC policies.

BDVA i-Spaces 2019

As customary during the last years, the Big Data Value Association announced during the European Big Data Value Forum 2019, in Helsinki, the name of the European initiatives that have been recognized as new i-Spaces in 2019, and become members of the BDVA i-Spaces group.

In a ceremony presented by Laure Le Bars (SAP, BDVA Vice-president) and Daniel Alonso (ITI, lead of BDVA i-Spaces group), representatives of the new five i-Spaces received the trophy that accredit them as relevant European Hubs for data driven innovation and experimentation. To be recognized as a BDVA i-Space, initiatives have to proof demonstrable value and quality in infrastructures and technologies, provided services, projects and applications, impact to their ecosystems, and a sustainable business strategy.

Digitising European Industry Stakeholder Forum 2019

With the thematic topic “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation Hubs - beyond 2020" the 3rd edition of the DEI Stakeholder Forum will take place in Madrid form the 13th to the 15th of November 2019. BDVA and BDVA members will be represented in several panels. Additionally the BDVA Smart Manufacturing Industry subgroup organises a side event to the Forum focused on "Industrial Data Sharing Spaces for Autonomous Factories in 2025: Opportunities and challenges".

Digitalization of Knowledge and Industrial Technologies – towards Horizon Europe

The "Digitalization of Knowledge and Industrial Technologies - Towards Horizon Europe" event, organized by the University of Bologna, is a unique opportunity aimed to present a mutli-discliplinary perspective to one of the most important topic that will shape our future. Within an agenda divided in three round tables, VISIONIMPLEMENTATION and FUTURE SOCIETIES, nine international speakers will debate involving the public about the philosophical nature of our knowledge and the ways to express and exploit it through digital sciences to improve industrial technologies.
