euRobotics, the European Robotics Association, and BDVA, the Big Data Value Association have released a common vision paper on the AI partnership they are jointly developing. This AI Public Private Partnership (AI PPP) is directed at boosting the industrial uptake of AI and ensuring Europe’s world-wide leadership in developing and deploying value-driven trustworthy AI based on European fundamental values. Both associations see the strong need for an ambitious and industry-driven strategy for AI adoption in Business and Society that aligns user value and industrial needs with research excellence in AI.
BDVA will enjoy a privileged presence at Hannover Messe 2019, represented by its president Thomas Hahn (Siemens), and where he will have the opportunity to present the latest developments of the association towards the creation of an AI PPP (BDVA / euRobotics Vision Paper, BDVA AI Position Paper) in two relevant sessions:
The European Commission released has released the 2019 Rolling plan on ICT Standardisation, which identifies ICT standardisation activities in support of EU policies.
The European Commission organises the 6th working group meeting on Digital Innovation Hubs on 3rd April 2019 in Brussels. The meeting will focus on digital tools and marketplaces.
The European DatSci & AI Awards in collaboration with BDVA - Big Data Value Association & CeADAR Ireland will celebrate the power of Data Science & Artificial intelligence on September 5th in Dublin. The competition will open for applications in March!
The second BDVA Activity Group meeting of 2019 took place on 27th February 2019 in Brussels and it welcomed 90 participans combining BDVA members and some BDV PPP projects. The meeting covered topics such as AI-PPP SRIA development, Data Platforms/Space, Data Privacy, AI/Big Data Standards and projects-BDVA collaboration.
