Public consultation on the review of the directive on the re-use of Public Sector Information (PSI Directive)
The European Commission has launched a public consultation in order to review the Directive on the re-use of public sector information (PSI Directive), fulfilling the periodic review obligation contained in its article 13, and at the same time furthering the goals of the Digital Market Strategy in the field of data economy.
The consultation will be open until the 12th of December and it is targeted to all interested parties, including governments, public sector content holders and users, commercial and non-commercial re-users, experts and academics as well as citizens.
The questions of this on line consultation cover both the evaluation of the current Directive implementation and the problems, objectives and possible options for the future. The results will be summarised and taken into account by the European Commission in the context of the review of the PSI directive.
