What is the role of the BDVA in the cPPP?
The main role of the BDVA to provide the Big Data Value Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and its regular updates, defining and monitoring the metrics of the cPPP and joining the European Commission in the cPPP partnership board.

Is participation open for the BDV cPPP?
The cPPP is set up in the framework of the Horizon 2020 and is open to all organisations from the European Union and the partnership countries. All eligible organisation can be beneficiaries of grant agreements for projects within the cPPP irrespective of their affiliation. The BDVA as well as its members may be also beneficiaries in projects of the BDV PPP.

How is the participation in cPPP projects determined?
The cPPP will be governed by the rules for participation of the Horizon 2020 legislation [1](1). Proposals for projects have to be submitted following European Commission calls for proposal. The European Commission will decide on the final Work Programme content and will check eligibility and select the projects with the support of external evaluators according to the Horizon 2020 evaluation criteria and guidelines.

Does the BDVA take part in decision making?
The BDVA provides Strategic Research Agendas to the Commission who is in charge of defining the official Work programme, selecting the appropriate proposals with the support of external experts.

When does the cPPP start and how long will the cPPP run?
The cPPP Contractual Arrangement between the European Commission and the BDVA will entered into force on 1 January 2015. The cPPP projects is part of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme for 2016/2017. The cPPP is foreseen to run until 2020 synchronous with the Work Programmes of the Horizon 2020. (1).

How can I prepare for the cPPP?
The BDVA publishes all relevant strategic research agendas and likewise relevant document on this website. The strategic research agenda will inform you about the research and other topics that are proposed by the BDVA to the European Commission for integration in the Work Programme. The BDVA organises multiple brokering and networking activities to stimulate proposal development.

How can I get involved?
There are many opportunities to get involved in the cPPP, depending on your commitment level and resource bandwidth.
How can I become member of the BDVA?
All organisations based on EU member states, candidates or associates, participating in the Big Data Value chain and ecosystem are welcome to join BDVA. Find all the information here.
